The details section in each kin card is one of the most powerful parts of Kinship.

This is the space where you can create and organize your own form fields to remember what is most important about every single person.

Our users usually have things they focus on remembering. Examples are:

- Introduced by: Sarah Smith

- Met at: Grace’s Bar

- Pet’s name: Atlas

- Dislikes: Cilantro

- Gift idea: Tickets to Hamilton

Details can be saved in multiple formats such as phone numbers, emails, locations (addresses), dates, URLs, or any personalized info.

PRO TIP: To make better use of Kinship cross-features, be sure to pick the correct data type from the suggestion list when adding new details.

For instance, "contact info" such as emails and phone numbers will enable you to start the connection directly from Kinship, as well as setting the "primary contact" in case of multiple contact info. Selecting "Date" will enable Kinship to identify when that day is coming and warn you beforehand.

Note: When importing contacts from your device's address book, part of your contact's info is automatically created under your kin as detailsas long as you use native fields (both iOS and Android contact apps have the most common details.)

Examples include phone numbers, emails, addresses, birthdays, and other date-type inputs, as well as some social profile URLs. Custom fields and notes cannot be accessed by Kinship, and therefore, are not imported.
