In Kinship, your contacts are called "kin". You can manually add your kin or import them from your iOS Contacts app.


To manually add a kin:

- On the navigation bar at the bottom, long-press the '+' button, or;

- On the navigation bar at the bottom, tap the 'Kin icon' to see all your kin and then tap the '+' at the right-upper corner.

- Once on the "Add kin" screen, enter that person's information like nickname, first and last name, phone, etc.

- Tap <Save>.

- After saving your kin, you'll be automatically sent to the kin card screen, where you can boost your kin with details, recurring reminders, groups, and notes.



To import kin from your device's contacts/address book (available for iPhone and Android apps):

- On the "Add kin" screen, tap the <Import from contacts> button at the top.

- If asked, give Kinship permission to access your iOS/Android contacts (You own all your data and we will never sell or share it! Need more information? Go to our Privacy Policy.)

- On the import screen:

   - Select the desired contacts to import. You can also type their name on the "Search" input field.

   - Once selected, tap <Start import>. It usually takes just a few seconds and you can continue using your app in the meantime.



To delete kin:

- On the "All kin" screen, tap <Select> and then tap the kin you would like to remove. Bulk selection is allowed.

- Once selected, tap <Delete>. Confirm the deletion when asked.

Note: Deleting kin is permanent and cannot be undone. All your kin assets like details, media, and notes will be deleted too.

Note: Deleting a kin does NOT delete your contact from the device's address book.
